Voyager Marine Solutions is a New Zealand–based maritime consultancy dedicated to advancing safe, practical, and professional vessel operations. Founded and led by Master Mariner O’Shea Butler, the company brings together extensive seagoing experience with a thorough understanding of modern maritime regulation, safety management, and operational best practice.
Our work is grounded in the realities of life at sea. Rather than focusing purely on compliance, we help operators develop systems and practices that are practical, effective, and genuinely improve safety and performance. O'Shea Butler
Founder & Director
O’Shea is a Master Mariner and maritime professional with over 15 years of operational experience across commercial shipping and international cruise operations. Having served in senior bridge and safety leadership roles, he brings first-hand insight into the realities of modern vessel operations, human factors, and maritime risk management.
Throughout his career, O’Shea has worked across complex operational environments and is well-versed in decision-making under pressure, bridge resource management, safety culture, and organisational accountability.
