We’re proud to share that Voyager Marine Solutions has been formally accredited under the Tōtika contractor pre-qualification framework, confirming our commitment to high standards of health and safety in the maritime environment.

Tōtika is New Zealand’s unified health & safety pre-qualification system designed to bring consistency and assurance across industries working with contractors in higher-risk environments. You can learn more about the framework here: https://www.totika.org/

Why This Matters

Safety is not simply an obligation in the maritime industry — it is the cornerstone of everything we do. Seafarers operate in dynamic, high-risk environments where the margin for error is narrow. Robust safety systems are what protect crews, vessels, cargo, the marine environment, and our reputation as a whole. True maritime professionalism is grounded not just in technical skills, but in a mindset that places safety at the centre of every decision.

Tōtika accreditation provides independent assurance that our internal systems, operating procedures, and onboard practices are aligned with best practice and capable of supporting safe outcomes for our clients and trainees.

What Tōtika Accreditation Means for Our Clients

- Confidence that we meet a nationally recognised safety benchmark

- Streamlined onboarding for organisations that require contractor pre-qualification

- Assurance when we work onboard client vessels to deliver training or assessments

- Evidence of safety culture embedded into our delivery model

Whether we are providing BRM/HELM training, conducting onboard navigation assessments, or assisting companies with procedural development, this accreditation reinforces that our services are delivered safely, responsibly, and in alignment with industry expectations.

Strengthening Maritime Capability Through Safe Practice

Our mission is to lift maritime capability in New Zealand by delivering training and consultancy that is practical, relevant, and grounded by the needs of NZ Marine Operters. Achieving Tōtika accreditation reflects that philosophy: safety first, always!

We look forward to supporting more operators, training institutions, and crews across New Zealand with services that reflect the highest standards of professionalism and care.
